I am auctioning off a drawing on facebook to raise money to have a new cage shipped for my reticulated python, Felony.
Felony has been doing educational demonstrations for the past year and has helped me teach many kids and adults about snakes.
Reticulated pythons have high humidity and space requirements. While her current cage is big enough, it does not hold sufficient humidity which could put her at risk for a life threatening respiratory infection. The new cage will fulfill both her size and humidity needs, but it is massive and must be shipped freight, which is quite expensive.

So recently I bought one of those bound, hard cover sketchbooks. I've since filled it with quite a few fantasy drawings. There are dwarves and dragons, evil faces, a table of contents and... a goat. I just have trouble scanning the freaking thing!

Subjects are animals, portraits, logos, character designs, fantasy, etc.
I'm still learning so I might cut you a break on a more complex subject.

Graphite: $21 for single subject (**DISCOUNT** Normally $25-50+)

Ink: $30-75+ for single subject

Payment and Info:

I accept personal checks, money orders, and paypal. Paypal is your best bet. Checks must clear before I ship out artwork.

If you want a referenced portrait, I need a high quality image of the subject. The bigger the photo, the better the detail in the drawing.

Once you contact me about a drawing, I will make a basic sketch of it (if referenced) or draw you a couple small sketches for your approval. At this stage you can ask me to make changes. You may send payment at this time, or wait for the finished drawing. The scans will be small, so that tracing or using them is difficult. I will ship out finished artwork once paid for, or when a check clears.

I am only doing referenced pet/animal drawings right now. This is a win win situation. I am working VERY CHEAP. You get a nice drawing at a good price, I get paid and gain experience. This is NOT going to be a set price for long, not even for graphite. I'm almost letting you steal my labor.  If I get enough inquiries, I will be raising the price after I finish a set amount.


I'm running low on art supplies, and need to replenish them. My preferred medium is Prismacolor colored pencils, which gives a smooth, almost painterly like effect on a final drawing. These are rather expensive, and the last set I bought was in 2005 and most of my basic colors are gone now.



The set I use is the 132 set which costs $105 and lasts a few years, as I regularly replace the colors that are used most often. My current set is reduced to nubs, and therefore is not very useful.

I'll be offering up graphite (pencil) drawings only until I can replace my entire set of colored pencils. My preferred subject matter is dogs and cats, as those are what I am most comfortable with drawing at the moment and what I am most skilled at drawing. However, I am branching out and drawing more non-traditional animals, like reptiles.



I will need a high resolution photo for either color or black and white work.

The finished product will be on 8.5" x 11 " medium weight sketchbook paper and comes in a protective sleeve. You must have this framed yourself.



It is $21 for a pencil portrait mentioned above including shipping with ONE (1) subject. Add $5 per additional pet in the drawing.

Colored Portraits vary in price (I am NOT taking these until further notice, so hold tight) :

$30-120 depending on subject matter, size of the drawing, and shipping.



How long does it take for my art to be finished?

Depending on the subject matter and the number of people waiting, it takes 2-14 days for a piece to be finished. My limit is 10 at one time, because I can do animal portraits fast enough. If it is not finished within that time frame, I will refund your money.


My goal is to raise enough money to buy my new colored pencil set, and start offering my color drawings again. Once that happens, I would like to donate a percentage of each drawing to Chain Of Hope, a local organization that helps educate owners of animals in poverty stricken or urban to areas receive better care and provide necessities that most of our own pets get that we take for granted.
